This collection is named in honor of Max Morris, one of the most prominent figures in Church of God music ministries in the second half of the twentieth century. Morris donated approximately 650 record albums to the Dixon Pentecostal Research Center which formed the beginning of the collection. It is an accruing collection that continues to grow through acquisitions from various sources.

Materials in this collection include the personal files of French L. Arrington from 1958 to 2007. The greater percentage of the files are for 1974 to 1997. A large portion of his files before 1974 were not preserved. Much of the collection is correspondence—general correspondence, correspondence for the Seminar on Ministry, for the Puerto Rico Extension (1987-1988), and for editorial work with the Full Life Bible Commentary on the New Testament.
