 File — Box: M0006-10, Folder: 10-15

Scope and Contents

When Miss Myers returned to the United States from India in 1964, she resumed her position as a teacher at Lee College. After her retirement from Lee College in 1974, she led a new women's ministry in the North Cleveland Church of God for older women in the congregation. Called the Chrisitan Activity Group, the women worked with the local chapter of the American Red Cross to provide items for the veterans' home in Mountain Home, Tennessee, infant layettes for distribution as needed at home or abroad, and the like. In addition, Miss Myers secured office space in the church from which to make available Bibles and scripture portions from the American Bible Society to the community. Also after her retirement, she was active in Lambda Chapter (the local chpater) of Alpha Kappa Gamma, retired teachers' organization. Items that relate to these activites are catalouged here.
