Two (2) pair adult gloves, undated
Scope and Contents
Two pair of adult gloves are primarly made of soft, tanned animal hide. Around the wrist of the first pair is a collar of light brown natural fur. Beneath the fur collar is an embellishment of colorful glass beadwork in the form of flowers encircles the wrist. Because these decorated with brown fur, these would likely be worn by a male. The second pair of gloves are identical to the first except they are decorated with white fur. These are likely worn by a female. Tlingit beadwork is a means of expressing individual and group identity.
