Biographical / Historical
Jasper Martin Baldree Jr. Ed.D, (February 4, 1927-November 26, 2002) was born in Williston, Florida to Jasper Martin Baldree and Lassie M. (Chesser) Baldree. He was married to Betty Ann (Whaley) Baldree on January 30, 1960. The Baldrees were the parents of two children, Tanya and Jon. He completed his undergraduate studies at Lee College, his M.R.E from Southwestern Baptist Theological Seminary, and his Ed.D. from Southern Baptist Theological Seminary. He also attended Wheaton College, and University of Tennessee, Chattanooga. Baldree was a professor at Lee College, a visiting professor at Church of God Theological Seminary, professor of Christian Education with Oral Roberts University School of Christian Theology and Ministry, and a short-term professor with the Korean Church of God School of Theology. During his tenure with Lee, he received the “Excellence in Teaching Award” for his contributions to the college and the Church of God as a teacher, lecturer, and author. He served from 1948 until 1961 in full-time Christian Education ministry.
