Biographical / Historical
Bill Elwood Watson (August 28, 1930–June 2, 2016)
Bill Elwood Watson was born in Virginia on August 28, 1930 to Thomas Walter and Cora Alice Watson. He was married to Rhoda Rae.
Watson was received his exhorters credential at the age of 21 on August 21, 1952, his licensed ministers credential on September 30, 1953, and was ordained June 8, 1962. He served the Church of God (Cleveland, Tennessee) as evangelist, pastor, and teacher. He was appointed as Field Director of Latin America and served as a missionary to Brazil. During his ministry, Watson reported 6,402 sermons, 2,173 conversions, 299 sanctified, 274 Spirit baptisms, 115 water baptisms, and 1,366 added to the church.
Watson deceased on June 2, 2016 and is interred at West Resthaven Park Cemetery in Glendale, Arizona.
