Nancy Pauline (Sample) Lambert

Nancy Pauline Sample was born April 22, 1912 in Franklin County, Illinois to parents William Alva and Mary Estelle (Park) Sample. She was married to William Roy Lambert in 1933. Together, they had one daughter; Bonnie L. Townsend.
Lambert was a licensed minister in the Church of God (Cleveland, Tennessee) at the age of 36. She pastored churches in Heart, Arkansas, West City (Benton), Illinois, Loughman, Florida, Pine Grove (Live Oak), Florida, and Madison, Florida. She preached 2237 sermons, reported 214 conversions, 114 sanctifications, 104 Spirit-baptisms, 31 water baptisms, and 38 members added to the church. Later in life, she was the founder of a ministry called “Contact” which was later renamed “Helpline”, a crisis telephone counseling ministry.
Lambert’s husband, William Roy, followed her in ministry in building, remodeling, helping in church services with music, teaching, and other ways.
Lambert deceased on May 25, 2000 and interred at Sunset Memorial Gardens in Cleveland, Tennessee.
